Be part of the green transformation

Boston GreenFest 2021 will take place on Friday-Sunday, August 20-22 on the Rose Kennedy Greenway across from the Boston Harbor Hotel. Hours are 12-6 pm each day. Join us for interactive exhibits, music, activities, food, electric vehicles, ecoFashion, and more! Bring your family! Bring your friends! Bring your neighborhood!

Boston GreenFest is our annual signature event in the form of a multicultural environmental music festival. This year, Boston GreenFest will be a two-in-one event - part outdoors and part online. We hope that having both venues will give a wide opportunity for more people to benefit from the amazing ideas, technologies and talent that we will bring to the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the screen.

Our theme this year is #EnvironmentEqualityNOW.  We will explore the need to ensure basic requirements for all living things on the planet - healthy water, healthy earth, healthy air.  And for each person:  shelter, clothes, food, healthcare and a source of revenue. As we emerge from these challenging months, let's emerge with an understanding that we are poised to build a future that is bright for our children and not return to business as usual.

Green Mission

Foundation for a Green Future is a multicultural 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing opportunities to our neighborhoods and communities across our city and across the globe to build an environmentally-friendly world by bringing nature into our urban spaces and our lives.

Throughout the year, the Foundation runs a series of educational programs focused on greening our urban spaces through the arts, film, forums/speakers, festivals, gardening, and green infrastructure. We promote sustainable business practices, recycling, composting, and water solutions. Foundation for a Green Future works with a wide scope of local, national and international schools, community centers, senior groups and neighborhood organizations to educate young and old about the many dimensions of being green.
