The 9th Annual Massachusetts Water Youth Summit will be held virtually on Monday, March 22, 2021 by Foundation for a Green Future, co-sponsored by Senator Anne Gobi, Senator Jamie Eldridge, and Representative Carolyn Dykema in honor of the United Nation's World Water Day. This year's event carries through on the UN's theme of "Valuing Water" by exploring water resilience in a time of climate uncertainty. To register, please go to https://9thmawateryouthsummit.eventbrite.com.
The theme is succinctly described by World Water Day.org (https://www.worldwaterday.org/ ):
World Water Day 2021, on March 22, is about valuing water – and how we need to take our water resources more seriously.
In our Commonwealth, we have an abundance of drinking water, yet some areas deal with scarcity. How do we plan ahead as climate change becomes more challenging and more people lose access to clean water? This problem is happening across the United States and the globe. Innovation, green tech and thoughtful planning can make a difference.
